This is where you set up your personal and professional details. These appear on your reports and PDF exports.
- Full Name — Your name as you want it to appear on reports.
- Title / Credentials — Your qualifications (for example, “MD, FRCR, Consultant Radiologist”).
- Hospital / Institution — Where you work (for example, “City General Hospital, Radiology Department”).
- Country — Your country, picked from the dropdown.
- Role — Your role determines what you can do in Kantrad:
- Radiologist — Full access to everything.
- Technologist — View-only access.
- Administrator — Full access to everything.

License
Below the profile fields you’ll see your License card showing:
- The email tied to your account (set during the onboarding’s email-verify step).
- Your license key (also generated during onboarding - Kantrad manages this for you, you never need to type or share it).
- When your current session renews. Kantrad refreshes the session automatically while online; if you’re offline for more than 7 days, the session expires and you’ll be prompted to reconnect on next launch.
You can:
- Refresh now — Force an immediate session refresh.
- Sign out this device — Removes Kantrad’s license cache from this machine. To use Kantrad again from this device, you’ll need to verify your email again (a 6-digit code is sent to the address on file).

Storage and Archive
This section lets you manage the studies stored on your computer:
- View your studies — See a list of all imported studies along with how much disk space each one uses.
- Delete studies — Remove individual studies you no longer need, or clear all data at once.
- Clear the audit log — Remove old audit records if they are no longer needed.
- Database location — Shows where your data is stored on your computer.
Report Templates
Kantrad comes with built-in report templates for common study types. You can also create your own:
- Built-in templates — Ready-made templates for standard imaging studies.
- Custom templates — Create your own templates with the sections you prefer. Each template includes a name, imaging type, and pre-filled text for Indication, Technique, Findings, and Impression.
- Automatic matching — When you open a study, Kantrad automatically applies the template that matches the imaging type. This only happens when there is no existing report for that study.
Security and Audit
Kantrad includes features to help your practice meet security and privacy requirements:
- Audit logging — When turned on, Kantrad records every time data is accessed, opened, or modified. This creates a trail for compliance purposes.
- Audit log viewer — Review the most recent audit entries to see who did what and when.
- Anonymised export — Option to remove patient identifying information from PDF exports.
- Data encryption — Your local database is encrypted so that only your computer can read it.
